Do you post in the advice forum?

I just made three threads in there and I'm getting very little response. That wouldn't be interesting to me, but I notice that lots of threads go un-replied to in that forum. Most threads stay on the front page for days and days for sheer lack of traffic. That just makes me a little sad, because it could be useful if people bothered with it. That's why I've decided -- every day that I post somewhere on the Escapist, I'll post a reply in Advice. I think everyone should try to do that.

So, does anyone even look in there at all?

Sometimes, but most of the time my opinion has been posted ten times already by the time I show up to a thread.

Rarely. I've posted two of my own threads there. I should probably spend a little time trying to help people there but Forum Games are just so much fun...

I've posted a few times. Sometimes I'll avoid the subject if it's a touchy one or if I can't give something of worth as the rules are strict there.

I usually check out threads that show up in the "Latest Posts" box in the side bar. Do Advice Forum threads not show up in there? If not, then that's why. If so, then I guess I just miss those threads because of the low traffic.

I've considered it, but then I realized I'm better off dealing with my problems myself.

As for helping others...I've done that before, and it is good, but I've also found myself not being very good at helping others as of late. I've kept my mouth shut regarding others' problems for now, because honestly, I don't feel like I could give good enough advice right now.

Sometimes. Usually not. I'm pretty sure it's because I think my advice is bad.

And it's the most monitored forum, so I'm afraid of mod wrath.

Yes, I think I replied to one of yours just a few hours ago. The hugging game sounds fun, what's that?

You can find it here. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.174412-The-Hugging-Game#4908506] Don't come crying to me if your productivity in RL drops due to Forum Game addiction XP

Because it was created to stop the influx of people who wanted relationship advice. Just like how the Religion and Politics section and the Job Board were created to stop people from posting it all here. In short, it was created so the people in Off-Topic wouldn't have to deal with them.

As for why I don't post there, its because most of the time the correct response is "Just go talk to the girl." and writing that down several times gets rather boring. Plus its heavily monitored by its own private mod team. Meaning they'll catch you faster then the regular Red Guard.
