It's not a cliche... Cliche is something that is often repeated in movies, games. Like this:

You go through the game, and your ally betrays you. That's an obvious cliche, especially if he has helped you more than anyone else.

Or that (okay, sorry, don't kill me for this one) protagonist is looking for a hero to do a quest, but it turns out that he is the hero.


This is just a thing you do sometimes. For example, I like to shout "DADADDADADADADA!!" when on a killing spree or something like that (like killing 5 enemies in a row in TF2/ Quake Wars).

Technically, what you named also aren't cliches. They're actually called tropes. Cliches are universally considered to be contrived and dull. Tropes are just commonly-used story elements.

I tend to say "Oh drat." "Sod", "Sodding soddery" and "Argh oh my gosh I'm on fire whyyyy..." while playing Team Fortress Two.

That and I have completely asinine conversations with people for no apparent reason, much to the annoyance of the more "hardcore" of players.

I've actually mapped voice-chat to one of my mouse buttons because I talk so often. Admittedly, half the time it's being useful such as telling someone a spy is uncloaking behind him or to duck right as a Sniper is firing.
