I remember when all my PC (well... mac) games had couch coop (I... never had a very good PC).
Made for some fucking good gaming. There's a reason I remember this as the greatest game ever.

I also remember when games looked like that.

You mean when the "internet" was a dozen webbased-bulletinboards that only a handfull of true nerds understood and used? Where you more or less HAD to be civil, or you would get banned from said board, and thus you had no "internet"?

Have you tried to play a multiplayer of any modern game? Prepare for a case of grey blind as there are no god damn colours to differentiate anything from anything else in your tiny portion of the screen.

OT: Do you remember when crap wasn't the fore most genre of game?

True, I wonder if anyone other than Nintendo has thought of using a colour pallate beyond grey and daek green. In GTA IV it felt like an aesthetic statement (the grim colours reflecting a cultural malaise) in pretty much every other game it just bored me.
