I've found that some games have huge modding communities. Fallout 3, Oblivion, GTA 4 (a little) and especially Stalker with all 3 games being heavily supported. I've taken one mod and made it a Zombie game...

Do you enjoy these mods like I do?

Since my computer should have retired and gotten its pension a long time ago, I can't even play those games.

However, I really want to play the KotOR 2 mod, because as you might've guessed, I love KotOR.

Indeed I do. Hell, some of my games like Fallout 3 and ArmA II are so modded up they're barely the same game anymore.

Most of my games that support them are modded in some way, usually for the better. After all, nobody knows what's better for a game than it's players!

Mods are what makes PC gaming great for me.
What this guy said essentially... Though I do like to give the game it's own chances by playing through without first~

And if valve holds up on the mac promise, then it could be whats great about MAC gaming too :)

I have great respect for modders since it usually is alot of work.
Many even fix game bugs and problems. Most appreciated!

Absolutely. Some of the best games I've ever played were better thanks to modding. In fact I just reinstalled Vampire TMB to try it out with some mods.

FO3 and Oblivion are practically unplayable without mods imo.

Civ IV also has a huge modding community, a lot of mods turn it into a completely different game. I have modded that game myself, but only to customize the games to be exactly how I want it. Vampire - Bloodlines has a lot of mods as well, possibly because the game was in dire need of fixing and the developer no longer exist.

I am a modder for TES myself, so yes.
Mod user or maker (or both)?

OT: I've been modding the hell out of Oblivion lately, makes me wonder why I ever played it vanilla.

You can use mods to create bigger explosions...

I wish. I haven't a PC that can play these games properly, but if I did, I'd be playing Fallout and Oblivion with all the mods in a heartbeat.

Mod maker (and player).

Though, I 'retired' a couple months ago, and most of my stuff is completely vanished. I only use them personally now until TES:V comes out.

What kind of mods do you make, out of curiosity?

mods aren't too bad, if i find it interesting ill go back and playthrugh with it turned on for a bit, but most of the time i enjoy games just for the vanilla experience they have to offer, and during the first playthrough if their are bugs or something ill get the patches and what not then of course, which come with some mods

but besides that, not really, i think its cool what some modders do and it does take alot of work, especially for the mess kotor 2 was in..., but i try to enjoy the game itself first before adding on

I love mods. I mainly use Half-Life 2 mods.

And if anyone is bored of Half-Life 2, get SMod. I think you need Counter-Strike for it, but it's pretty fun.

I would always advise to play the vanilla game first. Then, you can more easily see the Mods work.

I've started playing FO3 with mods just to spice things up! They really do add to the longevity of a game.

I spent most of my modding career working on small parts of bigger projects. Like texturing in the Better Bravil project. But I also did some solo smaller projects. I had a Pimpin guild, a couple less successful random quests, and for a while I was really into Dark Brother hood stuff, so there was an elaboration on more of those cool contract kills like at the start. I also did a (very) minor role in the Whole Continent project, and some Shivering Isles Madgod quests.

And of course, female companions.

LOL...there are some great "babe" mods for Fallout 3 & Oblivion.
Nothing wrong with a little extra eye candy.

Do I replay games with mods? Is the Doom of Malanti almost totally broken?

Of course I do! Few things inject as much replayability into a game than mods.
