Do you stutter?

I've stuttered for my whole life, but I've mostly grown out of it at 17 years of age. I still have a few issues with "k" "q" and "t" sounds, but they're not as frequent as they used to be. I've only met one other person who shares this impediment, but that's it. So do any of you Escapists have this problem?

I don't stutter, but when I get angry or upset I have difficulty speaking altogether. Does that count?

No, but I know a person that does. It almost seems like he has gotten worse with time instead of better.

I suppose. This isn't really an exclusive thread, though, so don't feel judged.

I have that exact same problem. Especially if I'm embarassed.

Other than that not really.

On specific words that I can never remember until I stutter on them, yeah. Otherwise I'm pretty good. It does make me feel really self conscious though <.>

Only on purpose to put emphasis on something, for example 'it's it's it's... unbelievable!'

I have a stammer, but not a stutter. I will repeat words like, 'it's', 'and' and 'like', a whole bunch before I move on.

It's quite annoying.

I don't stutter per se, I do however "splutter" a whole lot.. I always have, and I deeply dislike it because it makes me seem intoxicated...

Sometimes. Usually on the first word of a sentence.

It doesn't help that I talk really fast. People occasionally can't understand me.

So your words are slurred a lot? Bummer, man.
A lot would be an understatement.. I dropped out of school because I couldn't pass the oral exams. No-one could understand what I was saying. It has become alot better since then though, now I rarely need to write out what I'm saying and usually don't even need to repeat myself.
But yea, it's a bummer. More than once, this year alone, have I been asked by cashiers if I was drunk.

So yeah, I understand how bad it can be for someone who stutters, and I'm happy to hear that you are growing out of your problems. Kudos man! :)

What if we came here with the express intent of judging people? I had my hipster glasses and judging eyebrows all set and ready.

I don't stutter, but someone in one of my classes does. He's pretty bad with it, but you can see it get worse when he's nervous.

I don't most of the time, but my sentences get tongue-tied at times when I think faster than I talk
