Do you think Battlefield 3 will be smooth?

Battlefield 3 looks great, all i've seen looks amazing
the thing is- will multiplayer be clunky?

BC2, while fun- has some clunky multiplayer (xbox)(mutuals happen all the time)

do you think Battlefield 3 will have those same issues, or will they streamline it (not to say make it more like call of duty- but smooth out the response times from actions)

If they do it has some serious prowess as an online FPS.

Waaaaay too early to tell, but with Frostbite 2 running the game, I highly doubt it. Plus the ANT animation system will really help smooth things out.

The only problem - well, the main problem - that I had with BFBC2 was the lack of balancing teams. In between matches, there was no readjustment of who was on each team, which meant that if you were paired with a bunch of imbeciles while the other team was filled with Gods among men, you had no choice but to either suck it up or leave.

They also need to add the ability to leave games in between each match.

Do I expect either of these things to happen? No, but I certainly hope they will.

No offence, but what exactly do you mean by 'clunky'. I honestly had no problems at all with the feel of Bad Company. Didn't seem akward to me or anything.

Like, its not nearly as responsive as Call of Duty, Clunky is a bad choice of words
but- have you ever been mutualed? killed by the person that you just killed (as in you both die)- that results from unresponsive (clunky) gameplay

i'm hoping they will get rid of that latency as well as how quickly characters respond to inputs- knife, turn, jump, etcetera

I've not played BC2 on PC (i know.. FAIL), but on xbox those "problems" are pretty apparent.

Edit: not to elevate call of duty greatly; but its quite responsive as far as console shooters go

Bad company is to LittleBigPlanet as CS:S is to Super Meat Boy I think is what he means

I agree
