Do you "un-box" your action figures?

I rarely buy any, and I usually do, though I'm not going to stop my younger relatives & children of friends from opening the ones I don't up and playing with them, that's what they're made for, after all.
If I do buy any, it's because I think they look cool, no so they can accumulate value to sell on.

The way I look at it is, if you're going to buy something and not take it out of the box ever, you might as well just buy a picture, right? Forget about ho w'valuable' it might be, think of all the time and effort the creators put into making it. Why buy a figure with 35 points of articulation if you're not going to articulate them?

exactally

then again perhaps being "mint" has an apeal, like everything is right there exactally as it was at the point of being shipped out...a time capsual almost...

I saw an action figure of Spider Jerusalem (comicbook charachter) and was dissapointed it was like $50-$60...if I got it I couldnt bring myself to unbox it

Mine get unboxed and then placed straight into my display cabinet. I should upload some pictures of the cabinets sometime... I do keep the boxes though in case I ever want to pack them up.

The only figures I have that I haven't unboxed are these collectable Mario figures, and really mostly because I was waiting to get the whole set first.

But yeah, unboxed definitely. No-longer-in-production-Kidrobot Gorillaz statues? Unboxed. Rare-out-of-production Invader Zim Gaz figure? Unboxed. Limited Edition Daft Punk Interstella 5555 figurines? Unboxed.

How is my Shining Gundam supposed to shine in a box? And I would even un-box a SotC figure if I had one....I really wish I had one :(

With the exception of a rare few, almost all of them get unboxed. In theory I figure that potential burglers are aware they are worth less unboxed, so they'll leave them alone.

Besides, they look better out of the case.
