Not since the late 90s, when the parents began accepting my advice on all matters computer-related.

Um, no. As you say, it's a terrible service. It was the first internet service we had back when everyone still used dial-up, but as soon as we switched to broadband we ditched them. Frankly, I didn't even know they were still in business...

That's far more than I thought would still be on there, no idea who's using it. AOL pretty much died at the turn of the millenium, most people were on broadband by 2005.

Are you talking about the service like AIM or the browser? Because I know a few people that still use AIM. Do they even have the web browser anymore? I remember when they used to have discs that they would send to your house and give out for free at rite aid and shit like that but I haven't seen anyone use it since my mom replaced her windows 98 computer. I don't even think the browser exists anymore and the old versions probably wouldn't even function on a modern OS.

also upon wikipedia-ing aol

Revenue decrease US$ 2.417 billion (2010)
Operating income decrease US$ -983 million (2010)
Net income decrease US$ -783 million (2010)
Total assets decrease US$ 2.962 billion (2010)
Total equity decrease US$ 2.287 billion (2010)

lol, I feel bad for anyone who bought stock in this when it was big.

I still have an AOL email address from when I was younger, but it doesn't get used. I've not used the browser system in years, and never, ever will.
