do you use cheat codes when gaming ?

no one likes a cheater but in some cases it's okay ,like when i play a new game i try to play fair but sometimes you get stuck you have to well cheat . i usually try my best and finish honestly but on the second and third play through i cheat my butt off then i figure out the best ones to use to get by like life and ammo and only use them

I'm like you, first play through is no cheating allowed, second, third and so on are open season, although, I'll try not to spoil the game whilst doing so.

I used to cheat all the time, but after I started buying my own games that went right out the window.

Other than that, GTA is always a open season for cheats, so long as I don't save after-wards

i used to do cheating in vice city and aoe 2 until some 3 years back...
but i havent used a cheat since then bcoz it feels more enjoyable to play the game without it

I use them often. My aim's so lousy that I practically need them to break even and not die horribly in the process. I can beat games without cheats, and have done so in the past, it's just that I prefer to cheat.

I don't play multiplayer, so I don't really feel guilty.

pc games don't have cheat "codes" some have have the console, which is basically a debug tool wherein you get all the effects of cheats without the button mashing.

The last cheat I used was the one in GTA3 that makes all pedestrians fight one another (and you.) Well worth it.

I used cheats when I was a child, but I realized that the main reason that I play games is for the challenge so I find them kind of pointless now.

The 1st play through is always pure. After that though... Having said that, on massive games such as Oblivion I tend to lose resolve, although only if I restart. Or if GTA is in the title somewhere, except I will have one cheat save and one "pure".

I cheat all the time in GTA. I used Around 600 codes in Sanandreas and 400 in Vice City.
I save my game after cheating all the time and it has never harmed my game files.

i never cheat on online games.. and i rarely use cheats fullstop, but if icve already finished the game once, or its a really hard game (but they are the most fun without cheating anyway) then i consider cheating, it depends on the game really and if its a sandbox game then i most probably will.

I'm playing Freelancer at the moment, and seeing if hacking the save to give me oodles of cash and awesome ships will help make it more fun.

That, and I'm running the Discovery Freelancer mod.

yeah gta is my fav for cheat codes and as for saving well most codes are not going to mess up your save but they do since vice city keep track of how many times you cheat as for gta4 why they don't add more is strange

dont cheat on online games as thats not really fair. but gta is a special case. part of the fun of vice city was getting a helecopter and flying about killing the police. and redneck rampage, just to get the gun shaped like a pair of breasts. it was awesome
