I'd imagine you can still get it through other means.

cough torrents cough.

What? It's not piracy if the game is free. And this isn't even a full game from my understanding.
Well... yeah, but still!
It makes me a sad panda :(

I would like to take this opportunity to promote mine [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.199206-Boredom-Reviews-Doctor-Who-The-Adventure-Games-City-of-the-Daleks] and Chrono212's [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.199072-Doctor-Who-The-Adventure-Games-Episode-One-City-of-the-Daleks] early reviews of the game.

Oh, and I can see what they mean by minor tweaks that still need doing. For some reason Amy's hair would disappear when the camera did the age old trick of making the Doctor's head partially transparent to avoid the camera going inside or too close to it.

I think its great considering its free. Intresting story, even if it did involve the "Power Ranger Daleks" from the new series (though they look Darker and as a result better here than in the episode. Some control issues, but they got sorted once I got used to them and dropped down the graphics level to allow my laptop to cope better with the games requirements.

You can do that? I was looking for settings to alter the graphics, the whole thing just lags on my pathetic excuse of a computer, I couldn't see any options to tweak the game at all... o_O

What I have seen so far actually looks ok, voice acting is a bit stilted, which I'm a little surprised about. If only it would run better on my steam powered machine! Still a 3.0ghz processor and 2gigs of ram isn't exactly ancient...

To those outside the UK trying to get their grubby little mitts on it, it does 2 checks to make sure your British. The 1st when you go to download it, the second when oyu try and install it.

Don't worry though, you'll soon be able to buy it for a modest sum.

Well worth exploring as well if you want some of the cards. Though how the Adipose is under friends is beyond me.
I'm guessing its because the Nanny in S4E01 was rogue and so she was the only one linked to the Adipose that was against Earth. The rest would probably either like us or not really care.

It makes me wonder what their going to do in the show to properly introduce them in a full episode because the executive producer of the games stated that they were treating these games like full episodes.

Its not bad, but playing it on a laptop is hell. Lag, lag, lag, control issues. *Chin up, carries on in the manner of a Brit.* The lengths I go to experience Doctor Who.
Although the puzzle solving-ish part gets a bit old.

I really don't understand why American companies only allow 90% of their good stuff to American users, ignoring the rest of the world. I understand wanting to drive people insane, but don't pull dick moves like this. It's never a good idea to piss off your fans.
I couldn't agree more.

OT - I got what looks like about halfway through when the game crashed and came up with a bug report thing. Which was a shame, because I was enjoying it.

The Daleks are terrifying in this...

If you download this game and run it outside UK, that is still piracy, even if it is technically free. BBC is public television in that they pay it from their taxes or whatever, there are no ads or anything.
Theoretically, you could circumvent checks during download and installation with use of a UK proxy (and maybe killing a process or two), but there is possibility that it still won't work.
I want to play it so bad! Waaahh....
