Dodgeball

Recently, while reading a thread about some kid getting face-raped by a shuttlecock (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.182383-too-senstivie-kids) I noticed a lot of people discussing dodgeball, and as being a "Fan" of Dodgeball I also know many people are also lovers of this sport.

Now there are many things about Dodgeball that I want to talk about, such as some of my greatest moments, should it be banned(Note: Hell Naw), and how awesome it is that I found out it really is a sport.

For instance, I remember one time when I was the last person of a 20v20 match on my side with 7 on the enemy team. Slowly taking them out I whittled them down to two. In a perfect concert of ball chucking I managed to take them both out with a quick double toss and bringing sweet sweet victory to my team. Or the time I almost broke my back successfully pulling off a Matrix Dodge follow by throw. Then a year later it was banned because some kid might have broke his face on a ball.

Oh, about the Professional Dodgeball League, it's not all that great, just 8 teams. Which is why it is my new dream job to start a team now. I mean come on, Dodgeball!

So overall, do you have any great stories of Dodgeball games? Do you think it is right that they are banned in schools? Finally, why did they force us to do Boys vs. Girls? It's not right!

We used to play it in the playground over a tennis net with about 5 basketballs and teams of 20.

It turned violent after about a day and some awesome stories of people pelting it into others faces were created.

Guy gets a basketballs kicked in the stomach, he falls, gets up looks to the other team holding up his hand and gets one right in the face.
Possibly the best week of my life, before it got banned...

I was targeted, but that's mostly 'cause I was a flexible, nimble little bastard who wasn't afraid to wall run if it meant not getting hit (We only had the mid-field line, so we could play out to the walls if we wanted). I was flashy, hard to hit, and decently accurate, so I was an obvious target.

I kind of miss that.

And wall ball. Wall ball ROCKED.

I'm good at the dodging aspect, throwing not so much. So I'm basically giving whatever balls roll past me to the people who can throw, and if I'm the only one left I pretty much give up XD

Dodgeball was fun when they used those foam balls, but our school used kickballs for the upper classmen for some reason.

Ever been hit in the face with a kickball thrown by some asshole jock? It equals instant nose bleed.
