Does anybody remember the Summoner series?

I've got to thinking recently after looking at some other threads, about my favourite game, which happens to be Summoner 2 (Summoner 1 was alright but a bit slow) on the PS2, genuinley the most fun i've had in a game, and a pretty interesting plot (if you ignore that munari assassin honour code thing)

It was done by Volition who seem to have dropped the series so we only have memories, but nobody seems to have even heard of this game before, was it a tiny release I stumbled upon or something, or have other people played this game?

I remember Summoner 2 which I didn't really like it too much, but that could just be because I was a lot younger and can't remember much of the game. Maybe if I played it now I would enjoy it.

erm, im pretty sure i had summoner on ps2 or whatever it was. I could morph into stuff or whatever. It was the worst game i played. But saying that, i did Fall in love with Motto, Or moho. Or whatever it was.

Omg, how could people hate that game? It was amazing as action/RPGs go D:

I remember playing Summoner 2.. It started on a pirate ship I think? Versing blue fish-people pirates? One of them joins your team.. I got pretty far into that game. Passed that robotic underground city, up until a purple fat guy with a mallet joined my team. I think he devoured souls? Its been a while

I remember playing the first one.
At first, it made no sense and I had no clue.
Then I used a cheat disk, and it still made no sense, but I could summon things, so it was fun.
Damn, I kinda miss that game...

Oh and i'm a try and remember it all now, it was Maia's ship, the blue fish people are munari, I have no idea what the robot city was and the purple fat guy with the hammer was, mo... something? damn even i'm forgetting it

but i remember the perduellion or whatever, the ones with the freaky masks?

I attempted to play the first one. I found the combat confusing and frustrating and lost motivation to play it.
7 pounds, I think it cost. Not one of my wisest purchases, I must say.

I have both of them.In 2 I remember getting to a part where you had to steer this giant moving tower around.

I enjoyed the second one. Especially the pirate island (second level?) after you gain the Munari girl It was fun

Have to say, I'm not fond of Summoner 2. Maybe I just need to give it another (longer) try, but I preferred the combat of #1.
