Well, given that the term hipster seems to be predominately used as a pejorative I would doubt there are that many people clamouring to label themselves as such and of course those who actually act like the stereotypical hipster would likely reject labels of any sort. I don't think I've really encountered anyone who would match the description of the stereotypical supercilious shithead hipster, though since I'm currently at uni I do see quite a few people who's attire might be characterised as hipster-ish (it's hyphonated, that makes it a word). But knowing nothing else about them other than what variety of cloth they like to ensconce themselves in, I think it only fair to refrain from passing judgement.
