Does anyone remember how to patch Oblivion?

Recently I reinstalled my computer, and am only now moving on to reinstalling my favourite games. However I like to run several Mods in Oblivion and some of the better ones require the script extension program OBSE which requires Oblivion patch 1.2.0416.

At first I installed my GOTY edition, but apparently that only gets me up to 1.2.0201... or something. So now I'm installing off of my vanilla Oblivion disc (which is presumably below v1.1), however trying to use the English patch I still have on my HD results in the message "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match." - I don't really know what it means, since it seems to have stopped on the launcher .exe, but then again it could be referring to the BSA files.

I remember this was a decently large problem a while ago, so someone there should most likely be able to help you.

Thanks guys. I forgot how many different patches there were (mostly because my internet is shaped at the moment).

Oblivion is one of the most annoying games to patch. Worth it though.

I'll take a look at their forums otherwise.

Have you tried going to FileFront or www.tesnexux.com? I haven't been to TES in a while, but they host a ridiculous amount of files for the different games, and I'm sure that the official patches would be in there somewhere

And don't forget to download and install the Unofficial Patch, which probably fixes way more than Bethesda ever bothered to.
