Last week, my dad and I were looking through the attic for things to sell on Ebay. We came across clothes, our old NES and our Sega Genesis. Now it has been a long time since we have used this so it was a moment of nostalgia. One game that made my dad almost not want to sell the thing was Vectorman. This was one of the earliest games I have good clear memories of. It kind of got me thinking. They should totally make this for the Xbos Live Arcade. So my qestion to you fellow Escapists: 1) Do you remember Vectorman? 2) What other old games do you have fond memories of that should be remade onto the arcades of the newer consoles?

I loved Vectorman. I loved the level where you were a train and had to go along the tracks, though it was a very long time since I've played.

I love those games.
I was playing it an hour ago, in fact. And it's still great.

yes... i loved the second level, it was the easiest IMO, mostly because you were on a track.

I remember Vectorman, but I never really played a lot of it because I didn't have a Mega Drive

I remember Vectorman! That game was great!

I think they should put To The Earth! on Wii VC. It's my favorite of all the Light Gun games.

Metal Warriors should to. That games just cool.

Hell. Yes. Loved that game, and I even have fond memories of the sequel (even though it was undeniably worse).

As for old games...you're listening to a guy who hasn't thrown out or sold any Genesis games since he was seven. Thankfully, Ristar and Dynamite Headdy are already on Wii Virtual Console. Now, I just wish they'd throw in Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition, Cool Spot (if they haven't already), and maybe even Taz in Escape From Mars. Sure, that game was hard as brass balls, but the nostalgia, man!

1. Oh yes, I remember Vectorman. I also remember Warhead and that...disco.

2. If they could remake Castle of Illusion (starring Mickey Mouse) just in time for Epic Mickey, that would be awesome. That was the first game I ever played to feature stage-themed ammo.
