I agree that the gameplay was simple, so I'd imagine they have nowhere left to turn but to make the characters all appeal to the mass market. Welcome large brested Faith who runs in a bikini and grunts sexually every time she does anything.Xzi said:Welcome to every EA-published sequel ever. In the case of Mirror's Edge, however, I have no idea how they could possibly simplify it any further. Although I'm sure they'll find a way.AC10 said:I would love a second one... so long as they don't "make it more accessible".
yea this game needs all the different moves allocated to different buttons in order to allow more freedom of movement meaning a skilled player can pull of more interesting moves.AC10 said:I would love a second one... so long as they don't "make it more accessible".
I started writing the same thing when I noticed your replyWoodsey said:Better story - combat + open-map multiplayer races - shitty animated cutscenes = yes please!

They really need to focus on the story aspect now that they have a mostly solid game-play foundation. Keep it single-player focused & keep the bright, colourful environments.
I think its worth a shot.
and don't title it Mirror's Edge 2.
Not really, it warped up the faith rescuing her sister part of the plot but that?s it. The assassination of Pope, the runner's being targeted to cut off communication, the privatising of the police force and Callahan where only just touched on. It seemed like it was meant to be an introduction and Faiths sister being the cop who was targeted was an excuse to get her involved.Axolotl said:No. The gameplay was fine and the wrapped the storey up in the first one. A sequel wouldn't add anything.
I have heard some strange people suggesting they use the smart button mechanic from Brink or something similar to Assassins Creed so essentially all you would be doing is holding down a button and pointing in the direction you want to go. ?Oh it?s not fair, I was only slightly off the angle I was meant to be. The game should be able to figure out what I wanted to do and auto correct!? I really don?t understand why some people play theses games in the first place when it seems they really just want to watch a movie. If it auto corrects for you there is no point in playing and it defeats the almost entire purpose of the game. I also hope they don?t make it more shooty killy to appeal to the masses.Xzi said:Welcome to every EA-published sequel ever.
