Ok, so I'll give a bit of backstory so you can understand my question better. A while back my friend and I saw this really bad machinima (That's a video made from a videogame engine if you didn't already know) called "Squad 68," when suddenly genius struck. We decided to take the plot, record over the top dramatic voices, and set it to professional orchestral soundtrack music, then record it using good cinematography and relatively good special effects. As a result, we turned a little kid's failed attempt to be funny into an extremely corny, over-the-top 8 minute drama.
Now other than a shameless plugs for myself, that's a perfect example of the kind of thing I'm talking about. I find this kind of (I'm not really sure what to call it. Trolling? Patronizing? Reverse parody-ing?) humor really funny, and I couldn't imagine I'm the first to do it. Does anyone know of anything else like this? Or better yet, know if there's a name for stuff like this?
