Now I ask this because of the events transpiring in Syria at the moment. A brutal regime crack down is leaving a estimated 5,000 dead. Well for me I like to think about this stuff a lot, even when I am playing video games.

Currently in TOR I am playing as a Imperial agent and I currently have a quest where I am getting vengeance for Sith killing innocent civilians. No doubt there will be some moral decision since this is TOR in it. I am doing this very gleefully and I came to the realization that its because I find this very similar to the current situation in Syria. While on a smaller scale of coarse I know that the only reason I am getting this much pleasure out of it is because of how enraged I am at the current conditions in Syria.

Has any one else had a similar experience? Where world events make you more interested in doing something in a game?

Don't get me wrong though I am not always like this. At times I think the funnest thing to do is get on saints row and go on a massive killing spree.

I can honestly say... Nope . I play games to escapr from real world events . Like hell if stuff in the real role is going to ruin gaming for me .
