Does Elfin Lied get better? *no spoilers, please*

I already have turned away. Episode 8 was the breaking point. Animal abuse for the sake of going for the cheap shot is not something I take lightly. Especially when I am currently tasked with watching two Australian Shepard puppies, and a long haired chihuahua (which I'm pretty sure are eternally puppies).

I really liked it, but there are bits about the storyline and the ending that kind of don't make sense. I've heard that the manga is better, but I've never read it so I couldn't say. I found myself starting to really like it somewhere about the third or fourth episode, so I'd say hang in there until you reach that point before giving up on it. It's kind of a slow burner, but once it gets going it's really good.

While i do prefer the manga and the anime suffered from being cut to fit in a 13 episode format, it still was very enjoyable. Especially the OP was great. Still, for maximum enjoyment i recommend the manga over the anime.
