Does Motioninjoy cause input lag?

I've been using a Dualshock 3 with Motioninjoy for PC-based pad gaming for a while now. I've heard some say that it causes input lag though. While I haven't had many problems thus far, I'm not exactly the most savvy person when it comes to noticing something wrong when gaming (for example, frame rates would have to be 15 or so for me to notice without exterior help). Have any of you used it?, if so, do you notice any input lag at all compared to a 360 pad? (I don't have a working, wired 360 pad to test things myself).

Of course it causes input lag, absolutely every layer of hardware/software adds to input lag.
I don't know what the exact number is but emulators causing lag is unavoidable, and you can notice it in comparison to a game taking input directly.

Okay, is it severe enough so that input heavy games (like most spectacle fighters and fighting games) are unplayable with it? (or at least terribad compared to a regular controller).

Never. Been using it with my PS3 controller for the longest time and it doesn't cause lag of any kind.

Just worry about your connection speed when online, that's where you'll see the lag as usual.

While it works fine for what it is, I strongly recommend you don't use it. It's a major security risk and commonly causes severe system instability. You're much better off using this [http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller], or if that doesn't work for you (not all configurations are compatible) then this [http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/].
