So in the age of High def and online gaming, do you think that the SIZE of your monitor or Television effects your gameplay at all. I just started playing a somewhat old FPS(That can rename nameless) on my 65 inch television. As of recently I've been pc gaming alot online and i think for me anyway that i'm much better in front of a smaller monitor then a massive TV.

Now i know a mouse has alot to do with this but, Do you think that a larger HD screen can actually be an advantage or possibly even a disadvantage over someone playing on a non hd, smaller set? Sure you see more and all, and the detail is higher (I'm still talking fps's btw) but on the other side of things sometimes if its a straight up standoff or a fast random encounter that extra second to find and pinpoint him on a bigger screen is usually the difference of life and death. I mean i find myself sometimes losing these little skirmishes by like 1 or 2 bullets. We're talking a split second, and it happens enough to where i def notice a difference. I think personally with a smaller monitor your getting the entire map or field of view. Less going on for your eyes and brain to keep track of.

Action games however i see a larger TV as a pure win. And sports for the most part. Well before i answer all of my own questions lol what do you all think?

Size does matter: use whatever you have the most fun with.
me? It depends on the distance between me and the screen.

It's a double-edged sword. On a smaller screen, you can view the whole thing without moving your eyes or head at all. At the same time, a larger screen allows you to view things in greater detail (or from farther away), but you have to move your head to see the whole thing.

I play on a 21" monitor and/or 25" television, and I don't see a point in going any larger.

Big TV is better for long-distance combat, I find. You can actually make out the features on that little sniper waaaaaay over there on the battlements of Blue base...

And snipe him right in the face! Say g'bye ta ya head, wanka!
