Hey guys,

Now something like this may exist, but I don't know if anything lik this was created since news of the (potential) third attack got out.

I see alot of people saying they seiously want the hacking to stop, but no more mention of SONY's security. Now I would like to ask you all, do you still blame SONY for the attacks happening against it?

I for one think the hackers need to back off and at this point in time, am wondering wat they hope to gain from all this. THey are no longer punishing SONY, but those who no longer have the use of the PSN, and if they really had the information from the PSN, they shouldn't need to hack them again if they were looking to make money.

As I do have quite a few sony shares knocing around they should definately stop...

That aside from an objective point of view I think that they have got to the point of punishing the player, I'm doubting sony will be loosing too much money or sleep over this now. At first it had a huge impact but that's dying away and they're coming out as the biggest pricks in this situation.

Well I remember everyone baming SONY, saying the attacks were directed at them for teir shitty security, but three attacks is a bit much... I think SONY might still lose sleep oover it as they were justabout to restore things and whether people blame SONY or not, I tink alot of people will leave SONY simply due to the hackers incessant attacks and therefore lack of online play

"I LARFING AT DA SONY FANBUYZ NAOW, LULZ!"

Ahem... yes quite, I don't really blame them no, however I do not support their secrecy about it either.

Or maybe it is not secrecy but pure laziness I am seeing from Sony nowadays, I haven't heard too much news of them fully combating the situation.

Ah but maybe I'm just an angry little troll with nothing better to do than sit in a corner carving "I KILLZ ALL OF SONY..." over and over onto a brick wall...

Don't mind me I'm just a little 'axe murderish'...

three attacks? what has there been another one?
It's Sony... They've had more troubled times with PSN than Lindsay Lohan has had with the police.

Over the years there's probably been a lot more than 3 that Sony has managed to cover up I would assume...

i thought the way this happened was that anonymous attacked sony, then called it off, then some unknown hackers who may or may not be anonymous attacked.

People are not blaming Sony for the hacks themselves. They blame Sony for its inabillity to protect their user's private info.
I dont really care about Sony. If they tank, sucks for them. I care more about how this all personally affects those who got their info stolen. Im more likely to argue with a PS3 only gamer, but since I would not want my info stolen, I dont want theirs either.

Did Sony deserve it? No. Did they, for the most part, bring it upon themselves, though? Yes. Outdated server software coupled with a lack of firewall is sheer idiocy/incompetency. Add to that the fact that none of the personal data was encrypted and you've got a real dumb shit trinity. I'm just an individual citizen and my computer is more protected than that. When you're trusted with sensitive information from millions of users, you do better than that. You do better.
You got proof for these claims?

That is basically an adage now. I can't for the light of me see how you avoided receiving that piece of information during these eventful weeks.

Sony's many flaws of protection. [http://www.thestar.com/business/article/982304--geist-apple-sony-security-slips-show-flaws-in-our-laws]

Just one but many fine examples out there on the e-net. Quite ironic, seeing as Sony owns a brand of Security Measure devices, such as cameras.
Even if it somehow was all but slander and humbug, you're simply not allowed to create, arguably, history's largest security breach.

OT; Nah, man. Sony didn't necessarily deserve it. But, if you are lazy and undisciplined with such important designs, it's only fair that it bites you in the ass - hard - when the 'impossible' happens.
Will get them to shape up in the future and, hopefully, release the ultimate PS console in the future.

SONY never deserved it. The hackers responsible are a bunch of self righteous douchbags who hack because they want to be douchbags or because they want to steal information. What does this change really? Video games are not SONY's bread and butter. They arent attacking TV sales or anything major like that. They attacked specifically user personal information information, and for what? Because some hacker got caught leaking information which not only SONY, but US judges have deemed private. The fact that some shit head has my personal information and is trying to justify it is stupid.
