Does the Nintendo Wavebird Controller Work for the Nintendo Wii?

I want to buy Super Smash Bros. Brawl and want a Gamecube controller for it. Does the Wavebird work well (or at all) for the system, or should I just get a regular controller?

Yes, it works just as it would on the Gamecube, and many Wii games, especially fighters, fully support it.

Yes, but I noticed it didn't pick up my reactions in Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl as good as a corded controller. I play about everyday, trust me on this one. But if you just wan't to play a game like Ocarina of Time, you won't notice.
