Does the TF2 Medic have any relation to the Nazi Party?

I'm more interested in how Demoman is a black Scott.

It's actually not that unusual. My family vacationed in Scotland once for a few weeks and we ran across a handful of black people.

Valve intended the Demoman to be white at first, but they thought he had too much of a "Groundskeeper Willy" vibe. Solution: make him black.

Anyway, I don't think the Medic is or was a Nazi. The vast majority of Germans during World War II were not Nazis, and the Medic would have been too young anyway. It's conceivable he might have been drafted into the Hitler Youth during the closing stages of the war, but even if he was I don't think he would have believed in the Nazi creed. After all, he saves the lives of Russians and blacks on a regular basis.

Yeah, I was about to exclude the Demoman too, but he's got that over-the-top accent and is a heavy drinker.

But then nearly every culture has some drinking stereotype.

Obviously the Medic can't be a Nazi because if Germany had kritkriegs and ubercharges they would have easily won WW2. As proof look at every TF2 game ever where one team has lots of Medics and the other team has none. Total massacre.

Scottish stereotypes do include loud, angry, A-grade nutters and heavy drinkers. Maybe they just made him Black because there was no other Black character?
