I just keep thinking to my self what is the point of it? Everyone seems to have a five star rating no matter what, could someone explain precisley how it works and does anyone have any suggestions for it?

Always wondered about that, got a load of negative votes quite some time back (honestly have no idea why) and yet the 5 star rating never changed.
From what I can tell it's like reporting someone on Steam, does precisely shit all.

I have no clue how it works. I suppose as long as you don't pirate your games you'll have a 5 star rating.

It doesn't change your star rating but whoever you leave a negative response to, you're less likely to play with them again.

Once it goes up, it never goes back down. It's a really flawed system.

Anyway, how it works is that when you give someone good rep, you're more likely to play against them in future games and when you give someone bad rep, you're more likely to avoid them in the future. Not sure if this works as I've never seen anyone I've given good or bad rep too, though.

But yeah, that's what I've made out of the LIVE's rep system.

Well it allows you to... Feel special about having 5 Stars?
Honestly, whatever point it had probably stopped working/existing/something a long while ago.

I think it might have made you less likely to play with people with low ratings when you had a not-low rating [footnote](Keep the annoying people piled together and out of sight?)[/footnote] or something like that, but the fact that anything below 5 Stars is about as rare as a Shiny, whatever it's effect is pointless.

So yeah... I'll go with "No".

Considering how rare I find it to be that I ever see the same person twice at all, doesn't seem like it's worth the 2 seconds it takes to press.

No, it doesn't do anything.

I still have five stars even though approximately 91% of people have submitted negative player reviews against me, so the stars aren't even accurate.

I don't think so. Its online anyway, so a rating system is worth precisely fuck all. The amount of unsporting bad rep things i've gotten is insane.

Its not my fault they're not as good as me! XD

yeah it really is pointless, if you positive someone, then you are more likely to play with them again (even though you could just friend them if you like them that much)

and if you negative someone, you wont play with them again
