I realised today that when I beat a game I get really annoyed when I find out that I've missed out on an item/event/side-quest.

Id say the most recent example was dragon age, I missed out on Sten on the first playthrough and felt so robbed I had to replay (although I would have replayed anyway for the extra origins stories).

Have you ever done something like this? Missed out on something and then beat the game again for just one thing?

I forgot her name, but I missed the girl in the first town.
Playing DOOM and DOOMII I always save at the exit, incase I need to go back and dont remember till I start the next level.

Um... I didn't finish High School, the grad I should be in was this morning, in fact, and the route I'm taking to finish it means I don't get to do the whole cap and gown thing. That depressed me, not really made me mad.

In video games? I couldn't care less.

In Dantes Inferno I missed out on a single piece of Judas silver at the start. I didnt realise till I'd got all the rest. It was on my second playthough I was doing because I missed most of the collectibles the first time.

It doesn't make me mad. It makes me happy to know that the game had more content to offer while I wasn't looking.

If it was a good enough game, I'll replay it and try to acquire the missed object/person/whatever.

Pisses me off massively when I miss a permanently miss-able item. Really does. Its for that reason I tend to keep 2 saves leapfrogging and reading an FAQ after completing a section, to make sure Ive not missed anything. Rather that then starting from the start again.

It does get somewhat irritating if it was a particularly awesome item or moment.

I missed one treasure box in Lost Odyssey, and there's an achievement for finding every one in the world. I followed a guide and scoured every last inch of ocean, and I still have no clue what I'm missing. It's one fucking box. ONE!

I missed out something very important in Lego Starwars 2 in one of the early levels
