Does this really happen to everyone else?

First off, don't flame because I'm mentioning Halo or Call of Duty. It's not the point of this post.

I don't understand it. Every one complains about the obnoxious ten or twelve year old playing on Xbox Live. Everyone talks about the guy spewing hateful words about different ethnicities over a mic. I have honestly only ever met ONE kid(who whined very loudly and rage quit when I got the flamethrower in Nazi Zombies) when I played online. I really meet very normal people playing Halo and Call of Duty(not so much anymore). They are usually around my age and are very fun to play with and talk to. And the kids who have mics aren't really that bad. They just have high voices. Am I just really lucky or is everyone exaggerating what goes on?

It's not neccesarily that you always run into people like that, I think it's mostly that they just stick out because they annoy you.

Well I don't play online much, mainly because my connection is shithouse.
But of the few times I have played online, I have encountered some pretty awful people.

The worst of whom was a ten year old kid and his parents fighting about when bed time was.

Well I've never seen it, but I've only played tf2 online really. Most of the trolls there are at least somewhat classy too.
