My dog knows exactly how to get your attention, I might classify it as a trick. When you stop petting him, he looks at you with the most longing eyes a 15 year old dog can make. If that doesn't do it, he puts his paw on your leg, forcing you to either pet him, or look like a total douche. Tricky son of a *****.
that's not a trick, most dogs do that when they want attention

You can teach cats to do tricks, you just have to start them on it as kittens.
it's more difficult to teach cats how to do things, tho people will always claim they are smarter than dogs

as for me, my turtles will swim to one end of the tank when i shake their food bottle over the top of the tank and then try and swim up out of the water in order to get the food. it's not really a trick but it's funny to watch them to do that and basically beg for the food

Does jumping off of a tree trunk, grabbing a squirrel off of a branch, and then ripping said squirrel to itty-bitty little shreds count as a trick?
I would count it as a trick:p

Yea, she can bark, beg, roll-over, and sleep, she just does it when she feels like it...

Well, my dog is very intelligent. We can even leave kibble out without her gorging herself to death. She doesn't drool and rarely licks, asks to be let out by sitting patiently on the rug by the door, and knows how to ask for things. Seriously. Last time we washed her dog bed, we had left it on a chair until it was dry. She kept going to the chair, and pointing to it.
It still just kills me how she had taken a piece of kibble and set it at my feet when she had wanted her canned dog food. XD
She'll listen to us when we tell her things like, "Stay there, girl," and she can recognize the ending credits of movies 'cause that means a fun car ride to the video store for her. We never got her trained, but she doesn't really need it.

My dogs can sense my families car coming back when it enters the road.
My dogs howl at Police Car sirens.
My dogs crap all over the place when somebody isn't in the house, but they think they should be. (e.g. on a holiday etc.)
My cats roll their eyes when my dad gets a tool out (Hammer, drill NO euphemisms!!!)

Not really tricks, but meh.

Yes, all I have to do is show him some candy and he'll automatically sit, lie down, roll, sit and give me five.

My dog once managed to climb onto the table and eat an entire roast in less than an hour. The strange thing is, there were no chairs to climb on and, as far as I know, dogs can't fly, so I have no idea how he got up there.

Is that trick enough for you?

I can do a weird kind of conversation. I stare at my cat(s) until they start meowing.. then I'll reply by mimicking the sound.. they'll end up doing the same.. the "conversation" can last for up to 5 minutes. =D

My cat can type. Come on, kitty - type something...

I guess she's not feeling very talkative at the moment. At least this time she didn't hit Alt and F4 (which she has done before).

does being a fierce psycho count as a trick?

if so, then my cat is very good at tricks. it isn't a particularly large cat, in fact it's slightly smaller then most cats i have seen, but it kills a lot of small wild animals (about 1 every 2 days when it was younger), and it scares away a lot of creatures much larger then it.

other cats, dogs, badgers, foxes, all of them run away from it.

Mine only presses the off button when I am typing instead of patting her:p

I trained my cockroach to steal bits of cake from my neighbors. He then chews it all up and regurgitates it onto a plate which I'm forming into a full size cake. It's really awesome.
