my puppups can both sit, roll over, crawl, and sit up.

my cat can give people presents. also known as chipmunk heads, etc.
the other cat can uhh. be fat... and eat. a lot. his stomach wobbles when he runs.
which he only does when food is being presented.

both my cats are going to outlive me as well. they were supposed to die years ago.
and they're still kicking!

i should also add that my favorite puppup, a dachshund, beats up german shepards and other large dogs. only dog to take him down was a chow. freaking chows.

My dogs can sit, lie down, roll over, shake hands, bark. They also understand "What's/Who's that?", "Go get your toy!", "Bring it!" and "Drop it!" And the word "cookie."

They also unfortunately taught themselves how to belly-flop into the pool. Swimming now involves keeping an eye out for incoming 80 lb. Golden Retrievers.

Well... I call them my pets. Y'know dehumanising them is the best way to go if you want to stay sane n'all.

My cat is so unlike a (normal) cat it's unreal. For instance, when I call his name he will come running; he eats virtually anything put in front of him - tinned tomatoes, Guinness, mango chutney, the list goes on. Not to mention he eats his pills out of (your) hand. Oh, and I nearly forgot, he will stand up and beg if you hold some ham above his head - and he will do a sort of dance if you move the ham around - yes, it is (he is) unbelievably awesome.

I know most if not all don't count as "tricks" but considering he's a cat they're pretty good (and slightly odd) gimmicks.

Does jumping off of a tree trunk, grabbing a squirrel off of a branch, and then ripping said squirrel to itty-bitty little shreds count as a trick?

Well, my dog hasn't done this in years (she's too old, too), but I think that digging under a house, going after a hedgehog and staying underground barking for a whole day could count as a trick.

I can't forget how worried I was that she might've not dug out...

Also, she is an excellent sneaker. She's got a pretty long beard, and everytime she drinks water, it drops from the hair on the floor. Since it's pretty sticky afterwards, we try to dry her beard every time. But now she's gotten so clever, she drinks, turns head around to see if anyone is watching, fake that she's drinking, then run away very fast.*


*- Fast for a 12-year old dog after having kidneys sick 3 times in the last 8 months.

I want to get a ferret because they're playful little guys. I know a ferret that crawls up shop-vac hoses so it can be blown back out of them; another did ferret bowling, where you set out little plastic bowling pins, curl him up, and roll him at the pins. He used to burst open just before the pins and land on them to knock them all down.

my labrador has realized that when playing fetch, if she doesn't return the stick it adds more fun to the game as i then have to chase her down and then play tug of war for the stick. Once she managed to eat lamb chops straight off the barbeque.

Both our dogs can stand upright, at least when there's enough incentive. Like a piece of cheese or just about anything else a mammal can digest. (those furry little jerks will eat ANYTHING.) Also, one of 'em can roll over when you convince him that you have some sort of treat in your hand. The same little ball of fur can actually pirouette. He's quite dainty.

Both can eat prodigiously fast. You wouldn't say that's a trick from reading it, but you should see it and you'd be certain some sort of soldier superserum or cybernetics were involved.
