I'm trying to think of some, but my high school is really the most relaxed I've ever been to. No stupid rules or anything. It's good.

Don't hack the computers.
Don't play games on the computers. Bah...
That's about all the rules I know of.

There was this random 10 COMMANDMENTS OF GOD this year in regard to clothes. Let's see if I can find it. Ah yes...

allowed
Jeans should be smart and fitting
Smart trousers (what the hell does *Smart* mean anyway? Einstein wore odd socks and dirty pyjamas)
Skirts should be knee-length or above
Shorts should be knee-length or longer
Smart T-shirts/polo shirts
Smart tailored shirts/blouses (who the F*ck wears Blouses anymore?)
Smart shoes/smart, clean trainers
Leggings with a skirt worn over the top (see notes RE skirts above)
Any logos displayed should be discrete
not allowed
Ripped, frayed jeans
camouflage trousers/shorts
track suit bottoms
very stretchy, short skirts
Beach shorts/mini shorts
T-shirts with large pictures/innapropriate slogans
Underwear should not be on show (bra straps, underpants, cleavage) (what the hell does that last one even mean? No toplessness? Or should all girls wear victorian full-body dresses that go up to the chin?
Facial piercings and Flip Flops (for Health and Safety Reasons) (Food for thought: Reason implies Reasoning, so what does that word have to do with H&S?)
Open lace tights or stockings
Hats

...know what the best part is? THEY DIDN'T BAN PONCHOS OR GREATCOATS

Guess what I wear all year round?

One rule.
No music, even in headphones, thanks to one dick in my class who used it to record the test answers.

No real bad rules at my school, but my at my brothers school you would probably be forced to go home if you came to school wearing this: http://www.primedelux.com/images/OBEY-HAMMER-BASIC-T-SHIRT-WHITE.gif

Why you ask? Because it apparently promotes communism or socialism or whatever.

Apparently they're scared that a shirt on a middle schooler would invoke revolution(even though none of the kids even know what socialism or communism is.)

We have to get checked if we bring in anything you can't see into, which includes backpacks, duffle bags, purses, and instrument cases. Nevermind the fact that the students in band, myself included, are the least likely to bring in drugs or weapons.

We also cannot bring in drinks from outside of the school because some idiot brought in a bottle of vodka right in front of at least ten staff members, including a cop. Something he'd already been suspended for a few years before.

My secondary school had the old no smoking at any time even after school hours and the facial hair ban, you couldn't have any of any form or you'd be either sent home or made to shave in the head of years office with some shit second hand razor. Hair length was also limited as a boy, nothing below shoulder height which didn't really bother me but still.. fascism. ;)
i think in that school i would have never shaved and let my hair grow just to annoy the teachers, and refuse any kind of order they gave me about it XD

Looking at this thread, my school doesn't seem all that bad.

There is a no hats/jewellery/skirts above a certain length/no shorts.

They attempted to make everyone button their buttons to the top and have their ties right up but they gave up after 2 days.

We are allowed snowball fights at my school until someone gets hurt/hits a teacher with one.

the only stupid rules i can thinkk of are:
absolutely no text on your shirt (which is worn UNDERNETH of a uniform shirt, all you can see is that one area is slightly darker, but it's enough to send you to the office), including the name of the manufacturer in font 16 print.
no cellphones on school property (but the stairwells don't have cameras so noone obeys that one)
no physical contact, at all, as in i've seen someone get in trouble for essentially patting their friend on the back
no going near the smoking area unless you're 18 (keep in mind the smoking area consists of about 2 parking lots and the only door on one side of the school which also happens to be the only side of the school in the direction of where everyone lives (small area, EVERYONE can be located along the highway, the other side is a back road and empty feilds of grass)
one minute late for class and its the office (this one makes sense, i just think that walking in as the bell rings and still being sent to detention is BS especially when you HAVE to stop for the anthem and prayer, and ten minutes of anouncements which happen end less than a minute before class starts)

My elementary school had seperate playground areas for ach grade, no staying inside, not even in the library, you couldnot be in the bathroom for more than five minutes (including the time to geth there and back) as we were a catholic school you HAD to go confess everything bad you had done that year to a priest (akward when you're forced to do it). That's all i'm gonna put because my elementary school was insane.

Reading all of these makes me wonder what the hell is wrong with the education system.
My grade school had a rule that on Halloween, you had to bring school supplies to give out, not candy.

You MUST pray in assembly. Anyone with other religious views than Christianity don't have to but as an atheist I do.

Well there was the time they changed the uniform. They decided to include a coat that didn?t provide much in the way of warmth, you could absolutely not wear your own coat, and it was a cold winter. The next year they added a fleece to the inside which was much warmer, more money for them.

It wasn?t so bad I suppose; if you weren?t new to the school you got a free uniform.

I did hear some worse stories from other schools near me. A girl that got took out of a lesson and put in isolation or something because she wore trousers the wrong shade of gray. Also there is a school where they do sock checks on a morning. Yes, a school got so power hungry they demand to look at your underwear every morning to make sure they are black. You get sent home if they are not black.

I know it's not that bad, but at my school we can't listen to our mp3 players DURING LUNCH. Why the fuck not? But still, as I said, It's not that bad.

my school had LOADS of rules, but only some of the teachers made you follow them.
some examples.
no guns(bb guns): every boarder had one
no drinking: we had clubs at school with titles such as "beer club"
no personal displays of affection: didn't stop anyone
free/study periods are for working in: we had LAN parties going on in them.

on a 6F geography trip to Scilly. We had a talk before we left from the head about no drink/smoking. first night we are there we go to two bars and again every night after that. though we were limited to two drinks per-person. You can get some big bottles over there...

we do have some good rules though, like the head boy is allowed to keep a goat at school.

Is a cow's ass spotted?

In the last year my school has become borderline Nazi camp. Now we have to wear our photo-id around our neck, all because 2 kids OD'd last year.

They used to do that in P.E. at the comprehensive school I went to. Got a detention for wearing black instead of red socks. We had a lot of picky rules like, you can't wear a t-shirt under your school shirt, no make up, no blouses, no trainers, no skirts, no shorts, ties must be tied in a specific way, buttons done up to the top at all times, shirt must be tucked in at all times. They also had a rule for no visible underwear. In sixth form we had only one strange rule, it was non-uniform and everything was permitted; piercings, hair dye etc... but you can't wear floral print shorts. They wouldn't tell us why.
