Nah you see there are just too many risks involved with this, pretty much every kid on the street would try to nab that copter and keep it, also it's still slow, they need to take my idea and put artillery strike pizza into practice.

Fantastic, but how does it knock on the door?
Do you expect me to get up from A Fistfull of Dollars every five minutes to check if the pizza chopper is hovering around my front yard?

On the other hand, in cities you could deliver directly to apartments on upper floors through the window, so I guess that's something.

<--- Goes to college to study unmanned aircraft systems and operation.

<--- Becomes pizza delivery pilot; Makes $6.50 an hour + tips.

Isn't technology wonderful?

I can see some problems with this, such as the lack of trained drone pilots in the world, the inability to return proper change, and the dangers of flying pizza, but the future is a problematic place. If we want to live in the future, we have to take risks. And drone-delivered pizza is a risk I am willing to take.
1) I would imagine that it isn't THAT complicated to pilot what is basically a remote control helicopter (you know, the kind of thing you can buy at a department store). Don't be overly impressed by the title "trained" drone pilot, because H&R Block will use the same term for their "tax experts" who basically just sit through an hour long class. Unless you actually know how much effort it takes to learn, then "trained" is just a buzz word.

2) You don't need change when you pay with a card. Can't pay with a card? Then (most likely) you won't be eligible for a drone delivery.

3) I can certainly see potential for dangers (such as powerlines, as another poster said), but I would guess that learning to avoid those dangers is part of being a "trained" drone pilot, as opposed to some dink who just bought a remote control helicopter from a store.

So... how does it know who to deliver the pizza to? Do I have to stand in a particular spot on my lawn? What if I live in an apartment building on the third floor? Will it bump against the window until I let it in? More importantly, how does it know which window is mine? Can it simply ring a door bell? I didn't see an appendage that might help it with such an endeavor. More importantly, I'm not sure I trust my local Dominoes employees to pilot a drone.
You read my mind. All of this. I mainly want to know, other than address and general location, how the hell does it knock on my door? A sudden thud/crash?

With a GPS equipped phone.....Ah I suppose not.

However if you are gonna avoid traffic with pizza delivery, how about:

Well they showed a drone that carries pizza but a drone that can actually replace the pizza boy is a long ways off. How does payment work? How will it know who to drop off to in the instance of an appartment block... It's probably more a promotional stunt than a serious attempt at robotic delivery.
Payment options would likely be debit and/or credit, either by smart phone or computer. Basically pay now, receive later.

The big advantage this drone has now is that the airspace is empty. If pizza-drones would become more viable commercially, the drone AI would have to include a lot of recognition algorithms to avoid collisions with fellow pizza-drones, and, from what I know, currently such dynamics aren't yet solved on speeds that drone uses.

I wonder what'll happen if someone tries to catch or shoot it down. Does it have self defence?

*BANG*

"Enemy detected. Possible shooter at 153 miles. Activating self-guided missile launchers. Protect pizza at all costs."

*Brings out miniguns off the side*

Someone make a movie out of this. "THE GREAT DOMINATION OF DOMINOS!"
