Ive seen King of Kong, and that referee seems a bit biased to me..

geeks tend to be arrogant, i mean what true hardcore geek did not spend a good chunk of their childhood/teens/young adult years spending ungodly hours on star wars, star trek, pac man, donkey kong, dbz, or whatever, and turned out a total prick? alot of them anyway, hey i am great at x, and everyone else thinks i am looser in my peer group.

I know, I have sort of a love-hate feel towards Billy here. On one hand, he can seem like an obnoxious dick to everyone, but on the other it's basically for the competition. I mean, you'd be a bit defensive if you're world record was potentially going to get broken. I mean, seriously, this is "srs bsns" as the internets say.Mr.Pandah said:

God, I hate this arrogant prick. He always acts as though beating a High Score in Donkey Kong makes him king of the world. He´s just the perfect example of a stereotypical American to me.
for all of you young gamers out there, think of it this way.
having your initials at the top 10 of a high-score at an arcade was like Gamerpoints or Trophies for us. The main difference is that not everyone go there. Only the best of the best (out of those who frequent that particular arcade) had the claim to the title. and if their score was high-enough and they hadn't played there for a while, they could make a trip to a new arcade and attempt to demolish the top score there.
for these people who competitively play Donkey Kong and the like are just a product of their times.
Whoever AAA is will haunt a generation of gamers for life.

Ditto ^ he makes what he and others do sound more interesting + out side his own expertise in a few youtube videos he seems to have a high regard/respect for other well known gamers who excel at games he isn't good at which is a pretty good attitude to have.
