Sometimes, I feel like the only person on earth who thinks that this colloquialism is grounds to punch someone in the face. Yes, I can knock certain things without trying them, because common sense bloody well dictates that I wooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnn't.

Thank you for allowing me to get that off my chest.

Adding letters into words, to try to convey increased emphasis, are grounds to punch someone in the face.

Nah, I'm on the same boat my friend. Most of the time I can back something up with reason. For instance if I bash a food and some one uses that phrase as a rebuttal, I say "If it looks good, I'll eat it and, to me, that does not look good."

Or skydiving. I will never try it and always bash it because I suffer from Acrophobia.

But if it;s something that can leave my body in worse condition than it had been in at the start of some little escapade, or if it's some sort of illegal drug, I will punch some one in the face.

True.
Has everyone forgotten how to use an exclamation mark correctly?

I will knock it all I want whether I try it or not. I don't have the time in my life to try every bloody thing before finding out it sucks.

It depends if it is being used to defend something that is not really going to be liked by most people. If it is then yes... you can knock it. But if I really like something and someone hasn't tried it and cant adequately relate it to something they have already experience then, it's perfectly ok.

According to Hume, you can't knock something even if you do try it, because there is no guarantee that the laws of reality won't change. That is neither applicable nor practical, though.

I think it is okay to do if you do it somewhat like this...

Caught by surprise in thread response: Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?!?

But to try and get a point across, expect a great fail.

Confused? Me too. At least I got my point across.=p

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?
See? right there, I only acknowledged the question mark. "!" does not compute.

But you just used a '!'...
How can you compute a non-computation?

I really feel sorry for people with this mindset. Is it really that difficult to understand the meaning of the saying?

Obviously you can't have an informed (ie; valid and useful) opinion about something if you have never experienced it (ie; made an attempt to understand it)

Don't be such a nancy, you should try everything at least once, as long as it won't kill you. I mean, why the hell not? Broaden your horizons, especially when you're talking about food and drink, I mean a bad taste in your mouth won't last long so just give it a go.
