Guys, it's time to cope with the fact that the authors of the first 4 comments on yahtzee's videos will get banned - suspended - etc. So, why bother?

I don't really care if people post before they actually watch the video, which is pretty stupid though. But it is against forum rules...Not much else to it.

Huh? Why the fuck were those people suppended? Was it because they posted too early? That kind of seems like a stupid rule. I know I'm kinda tempting the mod's wrath here, but I'm just confused as to why they got suspended and put on probation. Warnings just seem like a better idea.

Edit: Had another look at the people posting. Third guy who posted, that was his first post. Don't know what to make of that.

Yes, but the first 3-4 posters all say things like "First!" or "Nice review" and nothing else.

That's the sort of thing people get probations for anywhere on the site.

they get suspended etc because they comment on a vid before they could have finished watching it

The only thing that I can think of is that they post before they could watch the actual video. His vid's are about 5 minutes or so, and the people getting mod wrath post within four minutes after the thread was created.

Check how quickly they posted, bearing in mind that the video is 5 minutes long.

As a mod on another video site, I can tell you all that banning people for posting before they should be able to reasonably have an opinion is nothing new. I used to ban people for literally posting before the video was even uploaded. If people do things that stupid, they deserve what's coming to them.

I can see how the mod's may not like people posting before they could have actually watched the video, but these people didn't just post "First!" or something stupid like that, so I figure they should just get a warning. I mean if they continue sure, then start really punishing them, but just straight up putting them on probation or suspension? Seems a little bit overkill to me. I mean, I didn't even realize that it was against the rules to do something like that (beyond the "First!" thing that is).

They could watch the video first, then comment on it. That's what the forums are for. That's why they get banned.
