Too late, already sold my Xbox and Natal (or Kinect as it's known as now) was a large reason for it. I bought a console to play games, not wave around like an idiot. I'm so thankful to have a PC capable of playing games now.
All motion controls arent shitty. I remember reading an article on the move about the devs of Socom 4 playing a team deathmatch, contollers vs moves. The devs using the move dominated. I'll try to find and post the link. If Sony is right and the move can pick up movements in 3D space as well as being ultra responsive I'll pick it up.

I'd say that probably 90 percent of the gaming community doesn't care about Kinect, and Microsoft's "press conference" at E3 proves that they don't care about us or our money.
They would have to drop the price by 130 dollars to make me consider it. Why would I pay ten times as much as an Eye Toy for practically the same thing.
Also, why would I want to grab invisible guns and steering wheels when the xbox 360 controller fits to my hands so well?

The 360 and the PS3 aren't immune to crappy games because they are 'hardcore'. Have you seen XBLA and the Indie Game markets? Are you trying to tell me that many of those aren't shovel-ware?
Kinect has great possibilities, and I'm looking forward to them.
And, again, every preview I've read on it (About 5 or 6 of them), says that it's fun to play. Sure it's different and even takes some getting used to, but it fun! And that, to me, is the important part. My wife will enjoy it, our non-gamer friends will enjoy it, my nieces and nephews will enjoy it, heck even my mom will probably enjoy it! That's what I want it for, and that's what it's made for.

And of course I'll be reading reviews when it comes out! That's a given! Who doesn't do that? I knew I wanted Dragon Age and Mass Effect and Red Dead Redemption on day 1, that didn't stop me from reading reviews first. It's called being a responsible consumer. I do that. But that doesn't mean I can't be excited for it! I was excited for those games I mentioned for months! It's something to look forward to!
And, another thing: If I'm "banking all my hopes on previews", what are you banking your cynicism on?

With the the Joystick/D-pad you can do those very easily and fluidly.
Since Kinect isnt needed for GoW3 Or Fable 3 the controller is simply the superior choice.
Atleast with the normal controller i can play easilly and dont have to waste 100$/150$ on a bad periferal.
Wait, what did the Wii prove? The Wii has outsold the PS3 and the 360. Of you add the PS3's and 360's sold together, they beat the Wii's total by only about 1 million units. How the heck is that a failure? It's the highest selling console to date!Ultratwinkie said:
