Addressing points in order:HigherTomorrow said:'I'm not paying $150 for a controller.'
'The Kinect doesn't have quality launch titles.'
'Justin Bieber's advertising it!'
1) Even if it costs less at, say, $100, that's still 100 bucks for a gimmick that presently is not worth a damn. We have already had the Wii for 4 years and THAT system already sucks (for my purposes anyway. I really haven't enjoyed its titles, and not for a lack of trying).
Personally, I'm waiting at least a year after its launch before I will even looking at Kinect again.
2) That's purely subjective. Sorry, but a dozen rehashes of Wii titles is about the quickest way to turn me off short of announcing another old favorite of mine being turned into an MMO or FPS.
3) How is this relevant? Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have all used celebrities in the past at some point. So what if Justin Bieber is either a worthless cock stain or the next Elvis? His association with the Kinect adds nothing and changes nothing, unless he is somehow involved with developing the bloody thing (which he obviously isn't).
If people learn to ignore these stupid marketing ploys and they will be all the happier for it.
I cannot understand why I should even look at this new system. It's more stupid motion controls, above all else. Microsoft said they were going after Nintendo's casual market share, so it stands to reason that those are the only games they want for Kinect.
If much of the hardcore audience doesn't want/care about Kinect, then there obviously will not be many games of that sort for the system. This isn't rocket science, it's basic economics!
