...Sorry for the odd intro, but really, I can't think anything better to start this discussion up.

Now, I've been playing Saints Row 2 for awhile now, currently ranked a 'Terminator' which is approximately 4th from the top badge, and to get there, I had to work my butt pass all the 'Kings of Kingpins', even befriended a few along the way. So, all in all, I've seen alot of repetition, [del]or in the case of family guy. "I'VE SEEN SOME THINGS....YOU WOULDN'T LIKE IT!!"[/del]. Ignore that.

So thus I know a dozen tricks, including the fact that the really good teams, when playing the 'Round Square Mall' level, usually get to the spot where the RPG Launchers will always spawn, and stay there, until the other team can take out all the members and such, or somebody that's good with a sniper rifle can take a few out. Back in the day, this was called camping, and yes, I know, alot of people got burnt out, but really, everyone does this.

Just now, I played that very level, 2 vs. 2, and bullrushed my way up to that area to secure it and make sure nobody else does that to me first, because a 2 vs 2 with people always trying to fight for that spot is a *pain*, and this game you'll oven lose said spot. One of the other team members, before disconnecting from the game e-mailed me calling me a pussy for 'camping in that area'. Now....I'm not insulted, but annoyed by the fact that somebody said that to me when really, he should see that massive teams will often do that. But no, I'm apparently a pussy for doing something that often gets my ass quite thoroughly kicked every time. (and, btw, this is the second time I've ever secured that one area, and defended it. This was the first time I was successful)

The actual discussion really is did you ever have encounters like this? Where it's all a part of the game yet somehow somebody gives you crap anyway despite the fact that anytime somebody else does it, it's legal (in gameplay).

You now what grinds my gears? Never being able to find the right Droids that i'm looking for. I mean, what gives?

OT NOWZ: Being told i'm camping in COD:WAW after I whoop buttox with a semi-auto rifle. Then playing privately with same person and his posse while THEY sta-PRONE in one spot with their BFG-9000's and I run like a madman with a Thompson and WIN. Long story shorty, teh haxxorz are called, I get booted, and my rep takes a 3% hit. Fun times!

Well then you should spend more of your time jumping out of planes with low-grav and evil cars turned on huh?

From what I remember, there is some sort of negative from using "Illegal Parts" in Custom Robo, even though the opponent uses them far more often than you do.

Call me pedantic, but I think you fudged the Family Guy quote. Isn't it the crippled veteran saying "I've seen some things, man, and some stuff. I wouldn't recommend it." Maybe you're referring to something else...

And in pretty much every match of MW2 I've ever had the air has been filled with myriad accusations of cheating/camping/hacking/exploiting/bad hosting/glitching/etc. Kinda gets my goat a little.

I hate super accurate enemies. You know... the ones who can snipe you five blocks away with a sawed off shotgun.

I've encountered such whiners often enough (both in games and on messageboards) that I decided to just make a <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.170536>big topic about it so I'd have something to point at and say "read that", in stead of explaining the same thing over and over again whenever some kid gets butthurt over losing.

Oh, awesome. I gotta look more into some of the discussions now o.o. Any more people interested in telling these stories?
