Doom and Destiny advice

Hi folks
I've been playing the indie rpg Doom and Destiny a lot recently, and I'm fairly far into it, but there is one side-quest I'm struggling a lot with. I was wondering if any of you guys had any suggestions on how to beat the challenge to upgrade the ring of might (the one with the tower with the zodiac-themed bosses), particularly the Virgo boss?

In my experience, a little girl in a game is either going to be a disguised monster or an escort mission, so my natural instinct was to kill on sight just to be on the safe side
