DOOM Open Beta is UP!!!...

It would be more fun it I could at least find a way to have a flow gameplay.

At least I become a Revenant a couple of time.

Other than that, did you played DOOM Open Beta? Your Thoughts?

It have a very simplistic gameplay and I think it play like the Halo games, but I may be mistaken [I never played a Halo MP before, only saw videos].

I had solid framerate. But there's no solution. The game is still in beta so don't expect it to be optimized very well. Optimization is the last thing they do.

It's pointless to discuss whether or not it's a bad port. It's not finished yet. Core gameplay however is just not fun. It's the same shit we've seen a million times before with a different coat of paint. It's CoD with DOOM-like weapons basically. Perhaps single player will be better and if that is so then it's fine. I care about single player a lot more anyway. And perhaps dedicated servers, custom made maps and mods (if they're available), will make multiplayer better. But from what I've seen I can't say that I'm looking forward to multiplayer.

It's garbage. I downloaded the beta on ps4 last night, played two matches, and uninstalled it. This just convinced me not to pay any more attention to this game.

I think he means that Doom is only an arena shooter on a superficial level. Yes, it has health/armor pickups, bounce pads and classic powerups like Quad Damage, but it lacks several qualities that are characteristic of the subgenre.

Like starting out on an even footing with every other player, weapon pickups (aside from the utterly OP Gauss Cannon and Revenant powerup), advanced movement techniques like bunny jumping, rocket jumping and airstrafing, highly lethal weapons offset by very fastpaced movement (augmented by aforementioned movement techniques). Very tight and crisp controls. And so on.

Instead it has modern fps traits like loadouts with 2 weapon limits, perks and a levelling system, making it more like Halo/CoD MP than classic Doom/Quake MP. But that's not really true either, because I find those games are much better at what they do than Doom is at what it's trying to be.

As a veteran of Doom/Quake multiplayer, I'd say Doom 2016 has the trappings of an iD fps, but not the substance.

Yeaaahh...it is not so good...
If I had to give it a number for score, it would be a 5/10. Mediocre at best sadly.
I will say that I like the customization options you have for your soldier. You can make him so dirty and damaged, that make him brown like sh*t.

Also I saw in the trailer for the Multiplayer if you play for long time you reach a point you can customize your soldier as a Demon or even a Knight. Here it is:

I played the closed beta a few weeks ago. I had some fun with it, but it is nothing special whatsoever. If felt to me like a more extreme (violent) version of Halo with a small side of COD. The arena shooter aspects are pretty few and far between in my opinion. I hope the single player is a lot better than what is offered here. It's just okay.
