I'm also glad this genre is expanding, the more the better!

AoS maps were very nice in warcraft 3 online mode.

Well I just read the article and I hope the DotA trademark remains free to all modders.

I probably won't buy this.

I wouldn't call myself a HL fan, but why doesn't valve just finish something before moving onto a completely new game, making a sequel to it, then making a sequel to something that really doesn't need a sequel and then continues to make a sequel to a game with so many different versions already that a sequel seems a bit unnecessary?

According to PC Gamer the Team Fortress 2 Mann-conomy Update is the first suprise.

How about League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, Warcraft 3 in general? Anyway , I added that video that shows dota gameplay ( not really so much, I like the song )

I'm not really interested in the game, but the DOTA 2 concept art looks pretty snazzy. Just look at that water...

If DotA 2 is just going to emphasize ranked matches, them I'm out.
I already have DotA AI, and occasionally play it with my friends.

I'm pretty damn good at DotA, and even *I* get sick of the constant elitist badgering that goes on in the community. It's that sort of nonsense that drove me to quit; not losing (or the fear of losing).

On the flip side, Ice Frog is one of the most patient developers I've ever seen, and I'm truly glad that his hard work is being rewarded in a very real way for once.

I have very mixed feelings about this. They said they were basically not changing anything, and now I have to pay for it? On the other hand it is valve... and TF2 is the only game where I can stand to interact with other people on the internet for any given time. Maybe if its cheap with decent single player.

IceFrog didn't create DotA:allstar but he is the one that is maintianing it with new patch now. The guy that made DotA: Allstar went to form Riot Games and made League of Legend leaving Iceforg in charge of DotA.
