I started playing Dota: 2 recently and have played around 25 matches with moderate success. It wasn't until my 12th match I saw a player using the shadow fiend nevermore. He ANNIHILATED our whole team solo and his team were just there for show, he then proceeded to destroy our ancient.

I was a bit shocked at first, then I decided to play as the Shadow fiend myself. Boy I was not disappointed, I find I can steamroll most heroes solo, and force the to run home at least. I can push entire lanes without creep support early in the game and I only seem to die when teamed up on by multiple heroes.

Anyhow, my point is from my experience the Shadow Fiend seems to be a bit OP; like I said I have only played a small amount of DOTA when compared to some people so I must be missing something surely?

I'm no DOTA expert, but in my 100 or so games worth of experience, Shadow Fiend is no different than any other carry with strong passives and a high damage auto attack, like Ursa or Drow Ranger or Troll Warlord. Let them get fed early, and they will roll the fuck over you while you scream.

Shadow Fiend is actually LESS bad than most because he's super squishy early on. I had a Shadow Fiend in my lane last night, and I killed him three times with Venomancer before level 7. Really took the luster off the Shadow Fiend.

Meanwhile their Phantom Assassin killed the rest of our team and then they rolled over us, but I took care of that goddam Shadow Fiend!

He's the guy that gets the damage buff for killing creeps up to like, 40 times, right?

I played a game as him once. Went pretty well, but wasn't a fan of his actives. I like knowing where my attacks are going to go a bit more than "this much range".

Nah he isn't op he is squishy as shit :) he may be able to dish out the damage but is paper thin and a prime target for cc.

He is a good pub stomp hero like any other agi carry, see phantom lancer and drow although i wouldn't put him on the same pedestal as them i guess i would consider him more of a mid range carry like riki or blood seeker.

He can defiantly be a pub stomp king as you have experienced.

Definitely not op. You have to be quite skillful to successfully land one shadowraze after another, add to that that his damage without buff is really awful and you lose half of your souls if you die. Also, he got no escape mechanism and he's really low on hp which makes him very vulnerable to ganks. So yeah, good hero in good hands, not op.

He's a very powerful laner and can snowball from a good early game, but he's very squishy and very prone to ganks due to not having any escape mechanisms.
