and its amazing, am i the only one who DotA 2s artstyle reminds of Teamfortress?
The only complain i got so far with DotA 2 is that they made slardar look kind of shitty.
Apart from that the Game and its Artstyle look kind of neat. Cant wait for Wednesday!

Ohhhh. Nice trailer.

Heh. Does the merchant doing the narration remind anyone else of the Heavy from TF2? I was half expcting him to say, "I em Merchant Guy, and this is my merchandise."

Too bad Valve can't focus their attention on certain other franchises of theirs, and i don't mean counter-strike: global bullshit squad or whatever it is.

Nah the narrator is Leragas the Vile. or more commonly known as the secret shop in Dota. The only problems I'm seeing with Dota 2 is the fact the Removed the hero names such as Nevermore and Shendleraze silkwood and made the Hero interface and stats tiny like HoNs. How the hell are you supposed to last hit when you cant even read how much dmg you do?

Ps Replacing the ramps with stairs, bad bad bad hon choice right there

You lurked for 2 years just to steal this before I was able to post it? Cunning!
Hahaha sorry buddy. Guess I am a bit of an Escapist lurker, but I figured this community would enjoy the trailer.

I wouldn't read into the leaks very much. It would be better to wait till The International at Gamescom to forge any kinds of opinions on the game.

What kind of game is this going to be? I've never heard of Defense of the Ancients until early this year. I wasn't impressed when I looked up gameplay, but that also doesn't look like the kind of game Valve would make. I'm really impressed with the art direction so far for this, though.

Defense of the Ancients started as a modification for Blizzard's Warcraft 3, played online.
The goal of the game was to team up with other people in a group of 5, and destroy the enemy 5 players' base.

Although many other versions of Dota existed, the most popular and well known one is the one currently headed by Icefrog, Defense of the Ancients: Allstars.

Valve hired Icefrog after seeing how well he handled Dota Allstars, and decided to free him from the limitations of Warcraft 3's very dated engine, to make a separate, completely independent game, as well as Valve's first fantasy game ever.

The artstyle is a nice mixture of Blizzard's fantasy and Valve's Team Fortress, and I like it very much.

Slardar looks like an anglerfish now. Personally, I dig it.

Twilight.falls did a pretty good job of summing it up.

For those of you that don't know what DotA is, you can read some stuff about it on the official site: PlayDotA.com. To get a view on the competitive scene the best place to go is probably GosuGamers.net [http://www.gosugamers.net/dota]. Lastly, if you're just being introduced to the game now, I would suggest you check out the live streams of the tournament I mentioned in the OP on Dota2.com (check streams at the time of the tournament listed on the site).
