What method were you thinking of using?

Also, isn't that illegal? And therefore against forum policy?

So many questions.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but that was completely unnecessary.

And OP: If you mess up, I think it can really screw your PSP. It's not necessary to downgrade your firmware to begin with.

not possible if you got the newest version of psp.
I know why you want it, but other than scouring the net for an older version your stuck because SONY made both hardware and software updates to combat this versus the older ones with only software updates.

well, from my experience (bought one of the old psps on ebay, turns out its downgraded),
it´s a two-edged sword, I guess.
It´s cool to be able to store a variety of games on the psp itself, but then again, where
to get the rams legally...
On the other hand, turns out that upgrading that thing once it´s downgraded proves...
let´s say difficult, and that´s just because I don´t like the word impossible.
And many new games seem to require a newer psp-version, so personally I´d recommend you
to let your psp as it is (not even mentioning the possibility to break it while trying
to downgrade it), I´m probably even going to reupgrade mine somehow... it´s starting to
piss me off a little....

hope it helped, greetings!
