Dr. Horrible to Host Spike VGAs

Wow. I may actually have to watch the Spike VGAs. I probably won't, but still. Neil Patrick Harris is a god among men, but Spike is still Spike.

I noticed that the other day too while watching "How I met your Mother". Does anyone know if the VGA's broadcast to Britain on any channels? I want to see how bad people say it is.

Why doesn't anyone ever bring up Doogie Howser, M.D.? He started that over 10 years before his name re-appeared back on the scene.

Dr Horrible's sing along blog is among the greatest things I've seen on the Internet and though I have no idea what the VGA's are I'll probebly end up watching them.

I second both of these. Bring in Dr. Insano, and Angry Joe as well. They'd make far better hosts.

Neil Patrick Harris is fantastic, but I have my doubts about the VGAs. . . I don't like them, it goes against what I believe for the progress of "Video Games as Art."

Pretentious? Yeah, but I can still hate Spike.

I don't think I've ever seen NPH in anything I didn't like him in, and Dr. Horrible is one of the best things ever. I may actually tune in to watch.

He did do the voice of Peter Parker in Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions, as well the voice of Wallace Wellesley in Eat Lead. Along with a few smaller roles in other games. The guy has real nerd credit in other areas as well, not just with Dr Horrible, he has had several roles in various DC universe animated shows and movies.

I bring that up all the time, but if I had to guess why few other posters do it would be because the average poster wasn't alive while the show was airing. Damn kids, always walking on my lawn and not getting my ancient cultural references.

Having him host as N.P.H. would be more relevant than having him host as Dr. Horrible though. Dr. Horrible's character isn't relevant to video games. Hell, Barney Stinston would make a more relevant host.
