Dr Who to go interactive [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8607925.stm]
In a joint effort between Dr Who creators and a prominent game-designer, Dr Who is set to enter the gaming world. (Again)
According to BBC News [http://www.bbc.co.uk/], the creators of the decidedly British Sci-Fi show are teaming up with game maker Cecil Charles. Charles has been involved in such classic adventure games such as the Broken Sword [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_Sword] series and Beneath a Steel Sky [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beneath_a_Steel_Sky].
With such an admirable pairing, there may just be hope for the project, which is planned to be a series of four interactive episodes based on the show and will include voice overs from the Doctor's current incarnation, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan who plays the Doctor's companion Amy Pond. The series has apparently been designed to 'get people into gaming' and 'increase computer literacy'. Here's hoping.
(Heh, aping the style of an official Escapist news-post isn't hard, but, damn if I can't think up anything witty to write, hats off to the staff, it's not so easy...)
