Thank god they did away with those horribly redundant achievements that plagued Dragon Age: Origins. Even Mass Effect 1s achievements were better than its.
Nothing is worse than being forced to 100% the game 3 times for the "ally" achievements. At least all of DA:O's achievements were related to the main quest, for the most part. Because visiting all of those side planets in ME1 over and over suuuuuuuuucks.
Eh, to be honest it wasn't hard for me.
I had to do 2 playthroughs anyways, and I finished the hardest one first (Liara), then used my favorites for the final.
Then I played through as a biotic to finish the last two, and if there was one thing that Biotics taught me, was that they are ungodly powerful in ME 1, to the point of breaking the final boss encounter to two Stasis uses.

I've actually had issues trying to get myself to finish Dragon Age though. While I beat and played through ME 1 several times (for the achieves), I have yet to finish even more than 1 of the main missions (the wolf and elves) despite wanting to finish the game for DA 2.

Its some odd combination of wonky combat (I have to constantly re-move my guy around because he runs out of the room to try and attack an enemy inside of it), and the obscene difficulty spikes the game likes to have. One second on the map I get attacked by a few bandits, next time its a whole bloody spartan army of wolves.
If you don't like DA, I can easily see why it's a pain to get achievements for it. But it can be 100%'d for cheevos/plats in a mere two playthroughs, 1 if you don't count mini playthroughs for gender exclusive romance and exploit saving and reloading.

There's a trophy for finishing it twice OR once with an import save? I knew it was happening, but what, exactly, will we be able to import? I was led to believe that the games would be concurrent, for quite some time, then more on the Hawke side of things. So, what do we get to import? Because if it's items, that seems like game breaking to me. If it's characters, they were for DAO, not for DA2. A cameo would be alright, but don't make a big deal of it. If it's stats...yeah, that's just even more game breaking. So, I await the game to find out.

So, we won't be seeing Morrigan's demon child? I didn't click on the list (to avoid spoilers), but that makes me sad. Unless, of course, it's one of the secret ones. Or perhaps we do meet him, and it's just not one of the achievements. Because, with all the stuff revolving around that child, it had BETTER make an appearance in Dragon Age 2, and if it doesn't play a vital role, the whole STORY of Dragon Age 3 better be about it.
You know there's a DLC about confronting Morrigan after the events of the normal Dragon Age campaign? I haven't played it yet so DON'T SPOIL ANYTHING if you already know about it and it doesn't give closure on the whole "demon child" thing, I'm just saying, if you didn't know about it, it exists
Oh yes, I am well aware of it and have beaten it--not that there was much to beat. Witch Hunt is part of my "complaint". The way it ends, the Demon child needs to be in Dragon Age 2. Play it, and you'll see what I mean.
I'm going to be as spoiler free as possible.

No, the child is not here...Yet and by Child I mean Boy.

And that's it, The rest is so spoil riffic it may destroyed your wish for getting the game.

So I just leave with this one thing:

Beware the anger of the mage.

I had no idea this existed...If you would be so kind, could you message me and give me a summary? I don't have the spare cash to get it ATM, but now I'm dying of curiosity. >.<
But of course. Message away.

It's to import choices you made in Origins, for example who you put on Ferelden's throne.

Oh man, "Delver of the Deep" should have been called, "Not here again!"

Good god, I can't get over how awful that shield goes with that armor. Is there an achievement for not having any fashion sense? Because if so, achievement definitely unlocked.
I kinda like the bucktooth lion shield. It would go wonderfully with my marble Corinthian column armor.

I second that. Jeez, that place was a hole. Literally.

Still, looking very much forward to this game.

Oooooh, that makes sense. Ooh, that's gonna be annoying, having to remember which save file has which setup going. In several saves, I think I had pretty much every option covered.
