Most people who follow dragon age will have seen the new CGI trailer and I will agree with me that it's pretty cool. and i must say i like it. but I find it hard to support the human character who fought that half ogre thing. He cheated! The ogre man wins fair and square douche cheater asshole pulls some random destiny's chosen move out of some dimension (presumably the demon world) and wins. Secondly I presume his goal may have been to help the king guy who dies at the start, if that's the case then he's a bit late! anyway anyone else agree, any other thoughts?

Umm, wot now? Confused here.

Besides, it's a sequel to the most cliché RPG of the decade. Of course the good guys always pull some kind of 11th-hour superpower out of their hineys. Because the baddies can't win, unless only the temporary loss to the GoodGuys(tm) somehow revitalizes them and allows them to overcome adversity With The Power Of Love And Manly Tears.

And as far as the plot goes, it's far too early to start guessing on that, methinks.

Correction. The most cliche RPG of the decade award goes to Oblivion.

True, but in hindsight almost all rpg's (especially the medieval fantasy ones) adhere to some cliches.

this was intended as a bit of a joke. I know it's a cliche and i know it's inevitable super attack at the end, this thread was intended to lightly parody the whole good guys beat bad guys ending.

Why doesn't he just use his superpowers from the beginning?

In any case, it was a pretty cool trailer all things considered. I eagerly anticipate more details on Dragon Age 2.

Well I'm going to assume whatever he did was one of those "I reeeeeally shouldn't do this all of the time but I need to right now" type things.

Otherwise; I thought the CGI trailer was very well done, and it shows a lot more than you might expect. I still think trailers should adhere to the standard that Valve set with L4D, with what you see being actual features, but the trailer is well done and it is good to hear that the music in the game will be getting better too.

The "ogre" thing is a Qunari. You should check out the Dragon Age wiki for their 'new' (in the sense that it was planned ahead) look. The reason he has much larger horns than in concept art is likely because the trailer was made by a 'third-party' company so it didn't necessarily have the full oversight of BioWare or whatever.

Meh, it went good 'till the end of Flemeth's monologue. But the character's face design is so bland, i was more interested in what would happen with the big dude. It's not that big of a deal, but they could've added some character to it. The epic beard from the main page concept art for instance. It just didn't hype me as much as the Warden's Calling or Sacred Ashes trailers, even though it's far superior techincally.
