Now, I am in love with Origins. I have played through it soooo many times, and not even to get the trophies (I'm a trophy/achievement whore).

And for a sequel, I didn't know what to expect for story, but I had hoped to be able to have a better Character Creator system. Like, more options, you know?

Turns out, you're a set character... Now, I'm not saying it will be a horrible game, don't get me wrong. But knowing that I'm going from a game where I made a character I fell in love with to a game with some survivor, it kinda turns me off to the game, do you understand?

What are your views on the new Dragon Age game?

Same. Character creation is hands down my favorite thing in a game. (TES is my favorite game series)

The way they are doing it, Mass Effect style, is fine as a plan B, but the more control I have the better. It still will be an amazing game, Im sure. However I will always have in the back of my mind "My Warden was better" (and more important, that "most important person ever" thing irks me more).

I was not a huge fan of my mute and personality-less (albeit very pretty) savior of the Grey Wardens, killer of the archdemon, blah blah. I think having a Shepard-esque main character in Hawke will be a nice change. If it turns out screwy, then w/e. Can't be worse than, oh I don't know... most other rpgs out there.

I'm really put off by the conversation system. If it's like mass effect, I'll just be spamming the top or bottom option, which is no fun. Hopefully they won't put polite on top and rude on the bottom all the time.
I'm also worried about the new graphical style. Yeah, I know they were trying to deviate from the generic look, but all the textures look like crap. They're not detailed enough. It feels like they just downgraded the graphics and called it a new art style.
But I'm willing to wait until there's more information before making a conclusion.

I know what you mean, I'm also disappointed with this approach Bioware is making for Dragon Age 2.

That's the main reason why probably most of us fell in love with Dragon Age: Origins, the multiple starting story's. It's easier to fall in love with your character when you can choose what kind of background story he will have instead of just having a preset story.

Hehe that's exactly how I feel, though I never found good words for it. Hope you will let me quote this in future threads about Dragon Age 2, it's just brilliant. :)

I mean how can some "puny refugee" be more important than the "mighty warden" who stopped the Blight?!

Well, for the graphics it depends. The PC graphics were hands-down the best of the consoles for this game. The PS3 came second.

But you aren't even a Warden in this one. Just a guy who survived the Lothering attack. Which makes me think you're going to be playing the same timeline as the Blight, which bothers me, because, well, you're never gonna see the other characters. Or at least you may not. This is all just speculation from the top of my head.

And dammit all, Alistair was the BEST character in Origins. He always made me laugh and I couldn't play through this game without him in my party. He NEVER left my party lol. Me and his character became best friends. And I mean my real life self and his pixelated self xD
