No one gives a rats ass how much sex there is if this isn't a good game.

And, Malygris, where did you come by his comments about sex in Dragon Age?
Sorry about that, CVG split the interview into two separate posts (at least I'm assuming it was one interview) and I forgot to insert the link to the second comment. It's there now. Thanks for letting me know.

Okay, Bioware. You need to stop advertising your sex-scenes. Right now.

Sex scenes in games are fine. However, constantly advertising them and making them a selling point of your game is not. Not to mention it's a blatant way of guaranteeing you have the teenagers' cash, but it also attracts all the attention you even said you didn't want.

I don't mind sex/love scenes as long as their tastefully done. But don't blatantly draw attention to them, that's a surefire way of gaining the unwanted attention a angry parental groups who are too busy bitching about video games to actually raise their kids.

Lookout for the full interview later today
Suggests that it was just two news pages based on comments from the same interview.

Looking forward to seeing that. I'm not really a big fan of these bite-sized quotes from interviews. I'll wait for the full interview to come out before making accusations at Bioware. Hopefully it's fairly extensive and asks a question or two about Bioware's marketing approach with the game so far.

Regardless of the sex, I'm very much looking forward to this game. It looks like another excellent RPG entry from Bioware. The sex scene in Mass effect was tastefully done, and while that doesn't look to be much of the case for Dragon Age, it will not attract as much attention as Mass effect did, regardless of overall content. I think they learned their lesson.

Um... So, there will be sex in the game... Huh.

That's good to know Bioware, now I'll definitely buy the game.

It also makes purchasing the game awkward.
"Isn't that the game with all of the sex?!"
"You'd know better than I, random motherfucking cashier, considering you probably haven't known a woman's touch since you were smacked by the doctor. Now ring up the fucking purchase already."

Awkward.
On the upside, there will be a demo, so at least I'll know if buying this is possible.
*snort* I'm strongly tempted to say those exact words if and when I end up buying the game.

Good thing Bioware hasn't lost its marbles- they implemented sex well in Mass Effect and if they implement it the same way in Dragon Age, I'll be content.

Would they stop advertising sex in their games, it just causes unjust controversy. Games like The Wicher, Fable II etc have got away with it.

Just make sure to credit me at the end of your scathing retort.
I'll do it somewhere in between cradling my precious, precious copy of Dragon Age in my arms right after purchasing it, and walking out the door.

I have been following this game for a while now, I'm actually happy that they make the games they want to make, rather than what the media or society wants them to make.

Put all the sex and violence in the game you want. But please, as above posters have said, don't make it the selling point. Bioware games have always been some of the best story driven games. Let's keep it that way.

Bioware don't need demos.

You know it's going to be good.
Demos for me at least are to see if my computer is up to snuff

luckily, this is hitting 360, so that's where I'll be playing it.. no problemo.

Alien sex...and now dwarf/elf/human sex? What's next? Hobbit sex? (On a side note, apparently Firefox recognizes "hobbit" as a word. LoL)

Oh, BioWare, you never cease to amaze/offend with your "sex simulators".

Seriously, though, I agree that sometimes sex makes sense. It's like sometimes in movies/TV shows/books, it makes sense that some character would have a physical relationship.

I actually didn't much care about this game when I first heard of it, but the more I read of the choice system they're trying to implement, the more I like it. I think I'll wait till the price goes down though...there's $150 worth of new games coming out that I want within a year or so, and I just can't bring myself to add this one to the list. I wiated two years before I got Mass Effect, and it was still amazing.

Considering I'm cognizant of what the internet is for [http://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+the+internet+for&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial&client=firefox-a], sex in games isn't really a selling point (though I'm not complaining either). Since this is Bioware though that at least means there will be a fairly meaningful reason for its inclusion, and who knows, they might even manage to provide a relationship that's as good as the one they penned for Viconia in Baldur's Gate 2.

I kind of doubt it though.

I need a demo to check if my PC can run it properly enough. I don't like the risk to end up with a barely playable game, and I like it to see it in all it's graphical glory. I'll probably be forced to go for the console edition.
