Im just curious, why can you only have a dagger in your offhand on DA:O? Theres NPCs with two swords and I dont want to use a dagger on my warrior

If you get to the fourth tier on Dual Wielding, you can wield a longsword in your offhand.

It's Dual Mastery I think, or something along those lines. Top row last square in the Dual Wielding School. Needs 36 Dexterity.

Just remember if your a DW Rogue your much better off with daggers, as they are boosted by your cunning stat.
